Technical Services Engineer
SUMMARY:
Niceware is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to consult and advise resellers & end users on technical and systems integration issues. The desired candidate will ensure that Niceware attracts, retains, and services our customers through probing the needs of the customer to determine the best product solution. The Technical Support Engineer will become knowledgeable on the entire Niceware product line in order to answer technical or systems integration questions with prompt and effective answers that promote goodwill and value added business. The individual will participate as a member of the New Product Development Team including development and testing of new products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide customer support and technical issue resolution via Email, phone and other electronic medium to Niceware customers, global partners and domestic sales personnel.
Work closely with the sales & marketing team to help manage training activities, and schedule & deliver technical training
Create training materials, examples, samples and technical support for an expanding software line.
Evaluate issues to be resolved using logical problem solving techniques and create/obtain relevant technical information to solve the customer's problem.
Adapt to changes/enhances made to the Technical Services group to ensure revenue goals are met.
Contribute feedback on customers’ needs & expectations to the development team, product managers, and marketing managers.
Responsible for the process of technical documentation for development (Help files, FAQ, technical solutions, case studies, etc).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Self motivated and detail oriented; ability to multi-task
Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
Able to answer support related phone calls, emails promptly
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal, organizational, presentation)
Typing proficiency: 40+ wpm
Knowledge of current Microsoft software (Windows, Office); comfortable with desktop and internet navigation (ie: cut/paste, file upload/download, email, instant messaging)
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in oral, written or diagram form
DESIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of SQL and database practices; database server management
Web Server management/troubleshooting (IIS, apache)
Programming languages (vbscript, Visual Basic, python)
Experience in software testing
Experience with PC hardware/printers setup
Familiar with networking principles (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A degree from a Technical College, an Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree from a college/university/equivalent; or relevant workplace experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As a Software Developer I, you will be responsible for the following:
Develop Windows, web and mobile based applications using the latest version of .NET and web technologies
Work with management, technical leads, and customers to develop cutting-edge applications
Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties on assigned tasks.
Adhering to accepted standards for development including design reviews, peer code reviews and unit tests
