NiceLabel Activation and Registration

The Product Activation utility will always run after installation. If you want to change the activation type or add more licenses to your network edition, you can also start activation from the NiceLabel software by opening the Manage License window under the Help menu.

• Hardware key activation
• Single-user Software key activation
• Network Software key activation

Hardware key activation: NiceLabel software editions with hardware key can be used immediately after installation. The NiceLabel software can be activated with a Parallel or USB key.

Single-user Software key activation: NiceLabel software editions with a single-user software key need to run the NiceLabel activation application in order to obtain full functionality. The Software Key number is a sequence of 25 characters.

Network Software key activation: You can activate the server part of the NiceLabel Network edition the same way as NiceLabel editions that come with a single-user software key. The Network Software Key number is a sequence of 25 characters. Activating the server part will also activate the client on the current workstation. If you upgrade the network edition with additional users, you have to install and activate each additional workstation separately.

1. Start NiceLabel software.
2. Open the Manage licenses window under the Help menu.
3. Follow on-screen instructions to activate your NiceLabel software.

Activate NiceLabel on the Web

If you purchased NiceLabel with a 25-digit software key and the computer where you installed NiceLabel does not have Internet access, you have to obtain the Activation Code from the NiceLabel server.

1. Write down the Key number and the Registration number.
2. Write down the Web page activation address.
3. Go to a computer with Internet access and open the activation Web site in the Internet Explorer.
   
   NiceLabel desktop activation: www.nicelabel.com/nlactivation_dlp.html
   
   NiceLabel Network activation: www.nicelabel.com/nlactivation_netdlp.html
   
   
4. Enter the Key number and the Registration number. Enter other user information when prompted.
5. Click on the Activate button to retrieve the Activation Code.
6. Write down the Activation Code.
   
   Note: The Key and Registration numbers, the Activation code and information in other fields are case-sensitive, so be careful when writing it down.
   
7. Go back to the NiceLabel computer where the window Manage License is still open and enter the Activation Code.
8. Click on the 'Next' button and follow the prompts to complete the activation process.

Activate Pocket NiceLabel

If you own a NiceLabel Suite 5.x or NiceLabel Network 5.x edition, you are entitled to one free Pocket NiceLabel license (Key Number). You can use this Key Number to register Pocket NiceLabel on one Windows mobile device. To obtain the Pocket NiceLabel license, go to the web page Pocket PC Key Number Activation. You must provide your 25-digit software key number of your NiceLabel Suite 5.x or NiceLabel Network 5.x edition to obtain the key number for your Pocket NiceLabel registration.

Note: One Pocket NiceLabel Key Number is valid for one installation of Pocket NiceLabel software. If you want to use Pocket NiceLabel on multiple Windows mobile devices, you must purchase additional licenses. Please contact your nearest NiceLabel vendor.

• You can only print five (5) labels per print job.
• You can only define one (1) variable field on the label you want to export (to Pocket NiceLabel, to SAP, to printer's memory or using other export possibilities).
• Random characters will replace the data values of label objects.
• If you continue running NiceLabel software in the demo mode, you will experience increasing delay at startup.
