Niceware® Announces Development Partnership With InfoGlyph™ To Add Unique Identification Technology
Niceware to add glyph technology to powerful printing software
SCOTTSDALE Ariz. and MILWAUKEE, Wis., March. 11, 2004 – Niceware® International, LLC, a leading supplier of printing software for the Automatic Identification and Data Collection industries announced today a strategic alliance with InfoGlyph USA, Inc., the leading global software provider for the development and licensing of glyph technology. Niceware is developing software incorporating InfoGlyph's "glyphing" technology for Niceware's NiceLabel Suite of label printing software. Through NiceLabel, it will be possible for automatic identification (Auto ID) solutions requiring security marking or lot "traceability" to utilize the emerging glyph technology to address applications where traditional bar code applications and RFID applications are not suitable. InfoGlyph's patented glyph technology, together with various marking systems, allows for marking of all types of surfaces/materials (glass, curved, non reflective surfaces) that in the past could not be addressed by conventional bar code marking particularly effective with authentic direct product marking (DPM) identification. The NiceLabel Suite allows easy implementation for those customers requiring the benefits of glyph technology to reduce product counterfeiting or to enable lifetime tracking for products such as tires, parts, and tools.
