SAP and Oracle Integration with NiceWatch Enterprise Business Connector

NiceWatch Enterprise Business Connector (NWEBC), a high-throughput software printing system, allows users to create label printing solutions from raw data generated from any data management system, large or small. NWEBC does not require high-cost, annual printer licensing and maintenance fees. The combination of superior print technology and Niceware's expert consultants enables any organization to create low cost printing solutions with a high Return on Investment and a low Total Cost of Ownership.

Print Server Technology

NWEBC is a high-throughput print server, built on the industry trusted NiceLabel printing platform. NWEBC offers many different connectivity options:

File DropTCP/IP SocketE-mail (POP3)
COM (RS232)DatabaseWeb Services
HTTP (Remote Function Call)SAP AII (Auto ID Infrastructure)
Each connection created in NWBC, called a trigger, receives data and determines the actions for printing once data is received. Each trigger provides options to setup data filters, control printing and non-printing actions; create, edit and delete trigger and label variables, enable or disable security options and offers advanced control for high-throughput printing.

Data Transmission Options

NWBC offers the ability to integrate with Oracle and SAP through two different kinds of native interfaces.

For users who have an Oracle system, an Oracle XML interface is included with NWEBC. The NWEBC Oracle XML interface takes a structured Oracle XML file and automatically prints a label template with merged data. Below is an example of structured XML sent to NWEBC from Oracle WMS:

Oracle XML

There are options within NWEBC to create custom XML filters for unique XML data.
With SAP, NWEBC has a specific trigger (SAP AII) that can receive native SAP data and execute predefined actions surrounding the data in the XML file. The structure of the SAP AII data string is as follows:

SAP AII

As you can see, the structure of both files explicitly outlines the following information:

When printing from SAP, NWEBC will use the printer defined in the label file. There are more custom ways to define the printer to use at print time; however, this requires a custom XML filter to be created. When printing from Oracle, the printer name is part of the transmission and no advanced setup is required.

Licensing Options

NWEBC can be licensed as a standalone server or through the Enterprise Print Manager (EPM). The EPM is a centrally hosted management site that allows users to control licensing, record all print activity inside the NiceLabel printing network and much more.

NWEBC allows users to print to any quantity of printers either locally connected or on the network. No additional printer licensing is required to be purchased.
