Consulting Services


Many times, customers know what they need to accomplish, but may not know the most efficient way to achieve their application goal. Consulting services can be used to help answer many of these questions. During this phase, Niceware Technical Services will work closely with the customer to gather all of the details about the environment and recommend different ways to use NiceLabel products to accomplish their goal.

At this point, when the customer agrees with the final architecture, a proposal that outlines the solution, resources, requirements, and expectations for all involved parties will be provided.

Project Management Services


Having a project manager that understands all aspects of the development process is the key to a successful application. The Project Management team has handled hundreds of projects ranging from small label applications to large scale, global ERP/WMS enterprise integration.

If a customer has accepted the proposal given during the consulting phase, the project manager will begin the project development process by reviewing the proposed application with the customer one last time to make sure all parties understand the deliverables. At that time, the development schedule is put in place, the customer is given a start date and delivery date and the development timeline is established.

Depending on the size and timeline, Niceware Project Management will propose to meet with the customer on a daily or weekly basis to make sure all parties are on the same page. It is a firm belief that regular communication with the customer is the best way to achieve ultimate project success.

Development Services


Although the products sold by Niceware are designed with ease of use in mind, certain labeling projects require the expertise of technicians who have extensive design and integration experience. The development process includes creating, testing and validating the final solution. There are many services that can be utilized during the project development process and it is important to realize what these services are as well as the requirements.


Label Template Design
Frequently, unique standards or specifications for a label design can and creating these labels to meet specific standards can be difficult. Using NiceLabel Pro, Niceware can help with label template design to meet your unique label specification needs.

Requirements: Provide Niceware Technical Services with a full detail of how the final label should look/feel. Also, if the label is to be designed to meet a certain requirement, provide all documents that outline all label design requirements.

NiceForm Application Design
NiceForm is a proven tool that provides a professional front-end interface to your label printing application. NiceForm offers advanced features that allow integration with hardware devices such as scales and scanners, as well as and third party application communication through TCP/IP. Because the application is completely customizable to meet customer requirements, it is important that the customer know what the functionality of the form should be.

Requirements: The customer should provide a detailed description reviewing the overall functionality of the application, provide full detail for all label templates printed with the form as well as provide specific information related to database integration (as required - not all forms have a database connection). If there are images, such as company logos or product images, the customer should provide those as well.

Print Server Integration
Integrating labeling with external applications such as Oracle, SAP, ERP/WMS, HIS, or any other data management system requires the use of NiceWatch Enterprise Print Server. This high-throughput print server offers many different communication methods for the data management system as well as advanced actions and filters to pull information from the transmitted data to print a label. During the consulting process, Niceware Technical Services will recommend the communication method based on the application requirements.

Requirements: As there are many different ways to integrate label printing using the NiceWatch Enterprise Print Server, the two largest requirements are the final trigger selection type (Example: SAP, Web Services, TCP/IP) and a sample of the data that will be transmitted to the server. If label design services are required, a detailed overview of each label template is required. Also, as the flow of the application varies, the customer should provide a step by step review outlining the requirements for the flow of the application.

Documentation Services


Niceware Technical Services can include documentation for customers that require documentation to be included with the final delivered. This document can be used for support or training purposes and typically covers a details summary of each working part of the NiceLabel application, the "flow" of the application as well as any special notes about the different parts of the application. Documentation can be included with any project and can cover any documentation requirement the customer has.

Installation Services


Niceware Technical Services also offers installation services to help with software installation or the final installation of a project. The installation services can be through remote tools (WebEx) or the customer can request Niceware Technical Services to come onsite. Both are considered a charged service and have different price structures.

Requirements: For remote installation services, the customer should provide an internet connection for all PC's that the application will be installed on. Niceware Technical Services will work with the customer to set a specific date and time when the installation will happen. In some cases, the installation will occur over a number of days. The customer is charge from the time the remote WebEx begins until the technician ends the WebEx session.

For onsite service, Niceware Technical Services will work with the customer to find a mutually agreeable date for travel. From there, travel arrangements will be made. In order to keep from inflating the cost of travel, it is important for the customer to provide information on any discounts to local hotel chains. Niceware Technical Services will be responsible for all plane and automobile arrangements. There cost of onsite training includes a charge for the day of onsite service as well as all fees associated to travel (including meals, gas, tolls and any other expenses incurred during the trip).

The range of travel for any technician within the Technical Services department includes all of North America. Any region outside of North America will have to be negotiated.

Training and Support Services


Niceware Technical Services also offers services revolving around the training and support of a delivered application as well as training for all NiceLabel products.

Training Services
Whether the training covers the final delivered application or NiceLabel products, Niceware Technical Services can perform this training remotely via WebEx or onsite.

Requirements: For remote training services through WebEx, tall customers attending the training session should join from a PC that has an internet connection. To arrange remote training services, Niceware Technical Services will work with the customer to set a specific date and time when the installation will happen. In some cases, the training may occur over a number of days. The customer is charge by the hour and by the final count of each connection to the WebEx training session.

For onsite training, Niceware Technical Services will work with the customer to find a mutually agreeable date for travel. From there, travel arrangements will be made. Support Services
Every application varies in complexity; furthermore, not every customer has the resources to support a custom application. To assist the customer as much as possible, Niceware Technical Services offers support services for all customers that request it. The cost and expectations of the support varies by application. Lastly, support of any application or software will occur Monday through Friday from 8AM CST to 5PM CST.

Finders Fee


Refer an opportunity to Niceware and a 10% credit will be applied to your account (can go towards future license purchases). In giving the referral to Niceware, the reseller would not be working on this opportunity in any capacity, and Niceware would handle the delivery, installation, and support for this customer.

Additional Discounts


Niceware will provide a discount for all qualifying applications if the customer allows a case study to be written on the project (pending successful implementation). Talk to our regional account manager for more details.
